Description : It is a low alloy basic coated electrode designed to give tough weld metal avoiding temper brittleness. The extra low hydrogen content ensures complete freedom from Hydrogen induced cracking in the weld deposit. Description : A medium coated rutile type electrode manufactured for hard surfacing of carbon steels, low alloy etc. very stable arc, easily removable slag and smooth weld bead makes the electrode acceptable in any welding shop. Performance is excellent on AC as well DC. Adequate penetration and convex bead ensures Ideal weld deposit for surfacing applications to resist high degree of impact and medium abrasion. Recommendations: Use short arc and lower currents. Within the range. Avoid weaving of electrodes to obtain. Best results. Electrodes should be re-dried at 1000C for 30 minutes. PRIMA HARD - II


Description : A medium coated rutile type electrode developed for hard surfacing of steels subject to wear due to impact and abrasion. Very Stable arc and smooth transfer of alloying elements to weld deposit ensures completely crack free and weld metal is machinable. The weld metal is air-hardening type.Recommendations: Use stringer beads technique and avoid high currants. Short arc ensures proper alloy transfer to weld deposit. In case of reconditioning of heavily worm out part give a buffer layer with our PRIMA-7018 Electrode. Weld Metal Hardness : 350-400 BHN. After three layerDeposition.

PRIMA HARD - III


Description : A medium heavy coated rutile type air hardening electrode for hardfacing application on mild steel, carbon steel, low alloy steel where hardness approx. 600BHN is required. Weld metal is totally non machinable and can only be grind. The electrode is suitable for abrasion & impact or a combination of both. Before depositing on carbon steels a buffer layer of Low hydrogen electrode (PRIMA-7016) is recommended. Weld Metal Hardness: 550 - 600 BHN After three layer Deposition.

PRIMA HARD - III LH


Description : A medium heavy basic coated, LOW HYDROGEN air hardening type electrode. The weld deposit is extremely hard, sound and non-machinable. Weld deposit with excellent resistance to serve abrasion and heavy impact. Description : A pure Ni. electrode giving good machinability of weld metal for welding cast irons. The weld metal is porosity and crack free and bonds well with cast iron base. PRIMA - CAST ALLOY MONEL

Description : Monel is a graphite-coated electrode with monel core wire specially designed for welding and surfacing of cast iron. The arc is soft and stable with least spatter. Weld metal is machinable, free from cracks and also has best colour matching.

Applications : Ideal for repairing defects in foundry cast iron castings, repairing or cracks, broken parts of cast iron etc.Weld Metal Hardness : 200 BHN Max.

PRIMA - SPL

Description : A high Nickel alloy electrode used in chemical and petrochemical industries for welding of dis-similar metals particularly low alloy steels to stainless steel, carbon steel, nickel based alloys and pure nickel. The weld metal displays good impact strength at subzero temperature and exhibits excellent resistance to corrosion, oxidation and superior strength at high temperature.

PRIMA CAST ALLOY (Non-Machinable)

Description : A medium heavy-coated graphite based electrode with mild steel core wire for non-machinable welds on cast iron. Steady and quite Arc, intimate fusion with base metal, self-detachable slag are few among many features.

Applications : Joining and repair of cast iron parts, repair of defective casting joining cast iron to mild steel. Preheating is recommended for heavy and rigid sections.
CUTTING ELECTRODES

PRIMA


Description : A medium coated electrode specially designed for faster and smoother cutting, piercing of all type of steels including stainless steel, austenitic manganese steel, cast iron, non ferrous metals in all positions. No special skill, supplementary equipment or oxygen tanks are required. It produces negligible slag and does not damage metal structure.WELDING TECHNIQUE Hold the electrode pointing towards job to be cut an angle of 450 and use sawing motion to cut. The forceful Arc produced by the electrode and sawing motion ensures fast cutting. Similarly for piercing, hold the electrode perpendicular to the job and use push in and pull out action till the job is pierced.

Applications : It can be used with ease for cutting and piercing out of position jobs where gas cutting is not convent.

CHAMFERING AND GOUGING ELECTRODES

Description : Designed to produce smooth grooves in all positions. Withstand high current without heating. The forceful arc renders it possible to chamfer and gouge various metals without the need of supplementary gas, air, oxygen or special torches. The force of the arc blows away- undesired materials from its path leaving a clean groove.METHOD OF USING Mark the area to be gouged or chamfered with chalk. Hold the electrode pointing towards the path at an angle not exceeding 250 to the job. Push the electrode along the line maintaining contact with the base metal.

Applications : The forceful arcrenders it possible to chamferand gouge various metals without the need of supplementary gas,air,oxygen or special torches.
PHOSPHOROUS-BRONZE

Description : A phosphor-Bronze electrode which is characterized by good welding performance such as steady arc, low spatter, easy deslagging and defect free, shining weld deposit. The electrode can be operated easily on both AC as well as DC (+) in all conventional positions.

Applications :
Suitable for joining copper to copper alloys, phosphor and tin bronzes as well as copper clad plates and for surfacing on copper and copper alloys. Typical applications of the electrode include marine components, pump casings, impellers, gear teeth and copper and bronze Bushings. The electrode is suitable for overlaying applications.

Description : A rutile coated electrode depositing extra low carbon 18% Cr.12% Ni.2.5% Mo. weld metal. The weld metal being particularly immune to sensitization during welding. Ideally suited for welding stainless steel of similar composition.
